Open Streets Hamilton Detours

Open Streets Hamilton is taking place on Sunday, September 23rd from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will result in the closure of James between Guise and King Street (north branch).

'2 BARTON'
will detour as follows:

INBOUND (To Downtown)
Detour from Barton and John
- Left (south) on John Street
- Right (west) on King Street
- Left (south) on James Street
and resume regular routing on James, south of King. Outbound trips are not affected.

'3 CANNON'
will detour as follows:

INBOUND (To Downtown)
Detour from Cannon and John
- Left (south) on John Street
- Right (west) on King Street
- Left (south) on James Street
and resume regular routing on James, south of King. Outbound trips are not affected.

'4 BAYFRONT'
will detour as follows:

INBOUND (To Downtown)
Detour from Burlington and Hughson
- Left (south) on Hughson Street
- Left (east) on Strachan Street
- Right (south) on John Street
- Right (west) on King Street
- Left (south) on James Street
and resume regular routing on James, south of King.

OUTBOUND (To Mount Albion Loop)
Detour from MacNab and Murray Streets
- Continue north on MacNab Street
- Right (east) on Burlington Street
and resume regular routing on Burlington, east of James.

'6 ABERDEEN,' '7 LOCKE' AND '8 YORK'
will detour as follows:

INBOUND '6 ABERDEEN' TO OUTBOUND '7 LOCKE' TRIPS
Detour from John and King
- Left (west) on King Street
- Left (south) on James Street
and resume regular routing on James, south of King.

INBOUND '7 LOCKE' TO OUTBOUND '8 YORK' TRIPS AND
INBOUND '8 YORK' TO OUTBOUND '6 ABERDEEN' TRIPS
Detour from York / Wilson and James
- Continue east on Wilson Street
- Right (south) on John Street
- Right (west) on King Street
- Left (south) on James Street
and resume regular routing on James, south of King. Outbound trips are not affected.

'9 ROCK GARDENS'
will detour as follows:

INBOUND (To Downtown)
Detour from York / Wilson and James
- Continue east on Wilson Street
- Right (south) on John Street
- Right (west) on King Street
- Left (south) on James Street
and resume regular routing on James, south of King. Outbound trips are not affected.

The following bus stops will be temporarily out of service during the times indicated:

In addition, the bus stop for routes 2 and 3 on the west side of James, just south of King (farside bus stop) will be temporarily relocated further south to the existing route 4, 8 bus stop.

DETOUR: OPEN STREETS – MCMASTER EDITION
Open Streets – McMaster Edition is taking place on Sunday, September 23rd from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will result in the closure of Sterling Street, between University Avenue and Dalewood Avenue. As a result of this closure, HSR will not have access to the McMaster University campus during this time.

'5C WEST HAMILTON'
will detour as follows:

WESTBOUND (To Ancaster Meadowlands)
Detour from Sterling and Dalewood
- Left (south) on Dalewood Avenue
- Right (west) on Main Street West
- Left (south) on Emerson Avenue
and resume regular routing on Emerson, south of Main.

'5A DELAWARE'
will detour as follows:

EASTBOUND (To Downtown)
Detour from Emerson and Main
- Right (east) on Main Street West
- Left (north) on Haddon Avenue
- Right (east) on Sterling Street
and resume regular routing on Sterling, east of Haddon.

The following bus stops will be temporarily out of service during the times indicated:

WESTBOUND
- Sterling St. at University Ave. (nearside, NE corner)
- University Ave. opposite Life Sciences Bldg. (mid block, W side)
- University Ave. at Forsyth Ave. (nearside, NW corner)

EASTBOUND
- University Ave. at Forsyth Ave. (farside, NE corner)
- University Ave. at Life Sciences Bldg. (mid block, E side)
- Sterling St. at University Ave. (farside, NE corner)
- Sterling St. at Forsyth Ave. (nearside, SW corner)
- Sterling St. at Dalewood Ave. (nearside, SW corner)
- Sterling St. at Haddon Ave. (nearside, SW corner)



- A temporary bus stop will be installed at the southeast corner of Sterling and Haddon (eastbound).
