Due to construction at Mohawk College, '20 A-Line' and '35 College' were re-routed to the main entrance of the College. There is no service on Fennell between West 5th and Governors Blvd, or on the west side of the campus for these routes. Please note this is a permanent change.

'21 Upper Kenilworth' and '33 Sanatorium' routing and bus stops are not affected.

27 UPPER JAMES/35 COLLEGE
For the summer months, one additional PM peak vehicle was added to routes 27/35. This should assist with schedule adherence during the reconstruction of West 5th between Mohawk College and Mohawk.

51 UNIVERSITY
Please remember this route only operates during the school semester and is NOT in service during the summer. This route will resume on Tuesday September 4th.

56 CENTENNIAL
Now that Wild Waterworks has opened for the summer season this route will now enter the water park during regular business hours. Visit the website for the park at www.conservationhamilton.ca for more details and park hours.

99 WATERFRONT SHUTTLE
The start to summer also brings the return of the FREE waterfront shuttle, which provides daily service from downtown Hamilton to Pier VI. Buses run every 30 minutes between 10am and 9pm until Labour Day and feature the unique HSR replica trollies.

The bus operates from downtown on King St. opposite Summers Lane then travels westbound on King, northbound on Bay, eastbound on York, northbound on James, eastbound on Guise to Discovery Drive. Returning downtown buses travel southbound on James to King.

SUMMER YOUTH PASS AVAILABLE
Elementary/ Secondary students age 19 and under (as of September 1st of the given school year) are eligible to purchase a bus pass that is valid from July 1st to September 3rd for a very low cost of $71.

The youth pass will be distributed to HSR vendors in the middle of June. They are NOT available at the HSR Customer Service Centre. Students must present a valid student photo ID when using this pass.

HSR TICKET BOOTH NAME CHANGE
The HSR location within the Hamilton GO Centre (36 Hunter St. E.) will now be known as the HSR Customer Service Centre.

As of October 3rd, 2011, this location stopped selling HSR paper tickets and monthly passes, which are still available through a wide variety of other vendors. A list of these vendors is available at www.hamilton.ca/hsr under Fares & Conditions.

In their place, PRESTO cards will be sold, which allows you to load e-purse (ticket value) and period passes (monthly passes) directly onto the card.

The HSR Customer Service Centre will still offer the Affordable Pass Program, School Hour Only Passes, DARTS/ATS fare media, Photo ID Passes, Senior Annual Passes, Golden Age Passes, Day Passes, Transit Information and Lost & Found services.
