Canada Day Shuttles to Bayfront

On Sunday July 1st the City of Hamilton will be presenting a fireworks presentation at Bayfront Park and Pier 4 Park. The Hamilton Street Railway Company will be proving free shuttle service from the downtown core to the fireworks display.

As in previous years the shuttle will run with limited stops between the stop downtown, at the John at King bus stop, to the parking area at Pier 4.

The shuttle will follow the following routing:

From John at King
• Heads (north) on John Street North
• Left (west) on Guise Street East
• Continue (west) on Guise Street West
• Continue (west) on Bay Street North
• Continue (west) on Leander Drive
and loop in the parking area beside Leander Drive and Pier 4 Park.

From Pier 4 Park
• Heads (east) on Leander Drive
• Continue (east) on Bay Street North
• Continue (east) on Guise Street West
• Right (south) on James Street North
• Continue (south) on James Street South
• Left (east) on Main Street East
• Left (north) on John Street South
and arrive at the recovery point on John at King.

Shuttles will begin running at 6pm and will run every 15 minutes until approximately midnight. Buses will pick up passengers at six stops. Stops for the shuttle are:

• downtown (John at King)
• John at Barton
• Pier 4 Park (Leander Drive at Pier 4)
• Bayfront Park (James at Strachan)
• James at Colborne
• Jackson Square (James opposite King William.

Organizers are asking that visitors bring a non-perishable food donation in support of Welcome Inn Community Centre's Emergency Food Pantry. There will also be eight food trucks on site providing food and refreshments for visitors.
